KAT-i is built on researchers, not algorithms. Every contact we deliver is found, verified, and validated by a person. This page is for anyone who wants to understand how we are structured, whether you are evaluating us as a vendor or considering joining the team.
Our work is divided into four functions. Each one is essential to the KAT-i Verified standard and to the opt-in work that runs alongside it, and each one is performed by people we train and manage directly. Nothing is outsourced to third-party data brokers.
They build the initial list from primary sources: company websites, trade press, regulatory registers, professional networks, annual reports, and industry directories.
A crawler extracts what matches a pattern. A researcher reads a page and works out what it means. That difference shows up in every delivery.
They call into organisations to verify contacts, confirm roles, and fill gaps that desk research cannot surface. They speak with switchboards, HR teams, department colleagues, and the contacts themselves.
They are trained to hold a professional conversation in the right tone for the market they are calling into. Experience calling into multiple markets is an advantage.
They handle the briefs that require sector knowledge: technology stack mapping, competitive installed base research, medical device intelligence, infrastructure profiling.
They know which sources are trustworthy for which markets and how to read a sector where the information is thin.
They review every delivery against the brief before it ships. They maintain the source trail, manage suppression files, and ensure the output lands in the client's format without cleanup.
They are the last check before a file becomes the client's property.
If you recognise yourself in one of the descriptions below, we would like to hear from you.
You are methodical, patient, and comfortable working with unstructured information. You can read a company annual report and extract the right name. You can navigate a trade directory in a language you do not speak and find what you need.
You do not need prior B2B research experience, but you do need to be precise.
You are confident on the phone, articulate, and able to adapt your tone to the person on the other end. You can hold a conversation with a switchboard in the UK, a department head in Germany, or an administrator in Singapore.
You treat every call as a professional interaction, not a script read-down. Experience calling into multiple markets is an advantage.
You have deep knowledge of a specific sector: technology, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, or another B2B vertical. You know where the information lives, who the players are, and how to read between the lines of a sparse source.
You can brief a research team on what to look for and verify that what they found is accurate.
You are obsessive about detail and process. You can review a thousand-record file against a brief and spot the three that do not match. You can manage multiple projects simultaneously without letting standards slip.
You understand that the final check is what the client sees, and you treat it accordingly.
We would rather deliver a shorter list that is right than a longer one that is not.
Knowing which source to trust for which market is more valuable than knowing how to search quickly.
If a record cannot be verified to our standard, it does not ship. That costs us contacts and it is non-negotiable.
Our clients' data is their property. We do not discuss projects outside the team assigned to them.
