The standard

KAT-i Verified

A person at the organisation confirmed it, by phone, before it reached you.

Every contact we deliver meets the standard below. This page sets out exactly what that means, so you can check the claim rather than take it.

01 · The standard

A record is KAT-i Verified when all three are true

Custom-built to your brief, 100% telephone-verified, and 100% guaranteed for 75 days. Every record, no exceptions.

Built

Custom-built to your brief

Researched from scratch against your written brief. Enterprise, mid-market, SMB, and the places where B2B data is scarce: public sector undertakings, government bodies, emerging markets, and specialist industries.

No stored database. No filtered export. Nothing pulled from a pool assembled in advance for whoever buys it.

If the information exists, we find it. If it does not, our feasibility study tells you before you spend anything.

Verified

100% telephone-verified

Every contact is called before delivery. Not a sample, not a statistically representative subset. Every one. Before any record ships, a person at the organisation has confirmed:

  • That the contact still holds the role
  • That the job title matches the criteria in your brief, rather than merely resembling them
  • That the work email address is correct, not constructed from a corporate naming pattern and left unchecked
  • That the telephone numbers connect, whether direct dial, extension, switchboard, or mobile

Where a contact has moved on, we identify who now holds that responsibility and research them instead, rather than returning the record as dead.

Guaranteed

Covered for 75 days

Every record we deliver is 100% guaranteed for 75 days from delivery. If any of the following happens in that window:

  • The record does not match the criteria in your brief
  • The email address bounces
  • The telephone number stops connecting
  • The contact changes role or leaves the organisation

Send us the record and we replace it or credit it back to you. You do not have to prove anything beyond identifying which record and why.

02 · The remedy

What happens when we miss

A standard without a remedy is a marketing claim. This is not a warranty bolted onto a sale; it is a commercial term. You do not pay for records that do not work.

Accurate on delivery

If a record does not meet the standard above, or does not match the criteria in your brief, we correct it. There is no acceptable error rate.

Covered for 75 days

If a contact changes role within 75 days of delivery, or an email address or telephone number stops working in that window, we replace the record or credit it back to you.

Yours permanently

On delivery, the data becomes your property permanently. There is no product database. Nothing is aggregated, nothing is resold, and no historical archive accumulates. Client data is retained only for the 75-day guarantee period and then deleted. Consent recordings are held for eighteen months because a consent record that cannot be produced is worthless.

Commercial terms, not just a warranty

You do not pay for records that do not work.

Some providers move that risk before the invoice by charging only for records that meet a threshold. Ours sits after delivery and covers more: send back anything that does not match your brief, bounces, stops connecting, or whose contact has moved on inside 75 days, and we replace it or credit it. Either way the record you paid for is a record that worked.

The difference matters because a pre-invoice threshold is set by the supplier and tested once. A 75-day window is tested by your own team, on your own campaign, against your own standards.

03 · Where opt-in fits

Opt-in is a separate service, not part of the standard

This distinction matters, and getting it wrong is expensive. A record being KAT-i Verified does not mean the person has consented to receive marketing from you.

The standard above describes how a record was built and what we guarantee about it. It says nothing about permission, because most of the lists we deliver do not need permission: contact research under legitimate interest is a different thing from consent for email marketing.

Where you are marketing into Europe and do need consent, we capture it on your behalf as a separate piece of work, priced separately. Where opt-in is in scope, permission was:

  • Sought by telephone and confirmed by email, giving a double opt-in specific to one client
  • Given after the person was told who is asking, on whose behalf, for what purpose, how their data will be used, and how to withdraw
  • Date-stamped and backed by a voice recording, retained for eighteen months and retrievable on request
  • Never drawn from a pool opted in for general use

We make up to twelve attempts to reach a contact. If we cannot speak with them, the record is marked as no answer. Silence is not consent and we do not treat it as consent.

So: a KAT-i Verified record is accurate and guaranteed. An opted-in record is accurate, guaranteed, and carries a consent record you can produce. If you are unsure which you need for a given campaign, ask us before you brief it rather than after.

04 · The method

How a record meets the standard

Five stages, every one performed by a person: your brief, web and desk research, gap screening and telephone research, telephone validation and opt-in, and delivery in your own data format.

05 · Limits

What this standard does not cover

A standard that claims everything is worth nothing. Here is what this one does not mean.

It does not mean the contact will respond

We verify that a person is real, correctly identified, and reachable. Whether they reply depends on your offer and your messaging, which are not ours to control.

It does not mean the record stays accurate indefinitely

All B2B data decays. The standard describes the record at delivery, and the guarantee covers 75 days beyond it. After that, records need re-verifying, and contacts opted in for one campaign will eventually need opting in again. Any provider implying otherwise is not being straight with you.

It does not mean every contact you asked for exists

Where an account genuinely contains nobody matching your criteria, we tell you rather than filling the gap with someone who does not fit.

It does not mean the contact has opted in

KAT-i Verified describes accuracy, not permission. Opt-in is a separate service, set out in section 03. Treating a verified record as a consented one is the mistake most likely to cost you.

It does not cover consumer data

Business contact information only. No special category data, no financial data relating to individuals.

It is not a compliance guarantee

It describes what you are buying. Your own regulatory position depends on your processes, your legal advice, and how you use the data within your organisation.

06 · The mark

Where the mark appears

On every list we deliver, in the file itself.

It is not a logo we apply to marketing material. It is a statement about a specific delivered record, and it means every condition on this page was met before that record reached you.

Check it yourself

The fastest way to test a standard is to test the work. Send us a requirement brief and we will build a real sample against it, typically 20 to 30 telephone-verified contacts or 3 to 4 accounts mapped, delivered free in 3 to 5 working days.

Then check it. Call the numbers. Confirm the titles. That is the test.
